MOMENTS OF HISTORY
The story of “Il Corazziere” started with the decision of Giuseppe Camesasca of quitting his job of hatter in Monza to become part of the Carabinieri.
Favored by his exceptional stature, in 1800 he joined the Corps of the Royal Carabinieri, recognized as “Corazzieri”. Giuseppe took part in the forces at the Quirinale Palace, under the command of King Vittorio Emanuele III. During the years he received the formal commendation for having foiled the attempt to the royal couple at the Pantheon in Rome.
At the end of his military career, Joseph fell in love with a beautiful lady from Friuli, Concetta Lavia, and together they decided to open “The Tavern of the Fishermen” in 1919.
Later his son Armando, with the support of his wife Mariuccia, transformed the family business into an important reality for the community.
Even today the family Camesasca continues their tradition with pride and enthusiasm!
